Message a Commemorative Z and upgrade similarly to what I've done to mine~ If it were the right color for me.

The biggest reason I sold my 96 Cobalt Green is because the grays are my favorite OEM Z color. CRP and silver come in at a close second place tie.

turbos--> Run them til they die. Make sure that your oil feed lines aren't the culprit, if they are leaking it could run down the turbo and drip. I would get the car up on ramps and clean off the turbos with your chemical of choice, then run the car and try to pinpoint the source of the leak.

bumpers painted, door dings removed--> I had my 99 fascia, rear bumper, and wing painted...That was the expensive way to go. I'm going to try my hand at DIY for the rear bumper on this Z, and wait until I can have the whole car done before shelling out $$ for partial work.

tranny has 4th gear grind at times--> New fluid and clutch adjustment?
clutch--> on either Z, once you hit Stage III you will need a clutch upgrade
harness--> will need on either Z
rear suspension pieces--> I'm replacing all of my pieces, although most need it. The Z rides nicely, but I want the piece of mind and toit-ness of new rubber & poly.

All other things being equal, it would come down to color and interior for me. I didn't want to shell out big $$ for a color change, it just didn't make sense when I could sell it and buy what I wanted. One of the other factors was that the Z didn't need anything, and I wanted to build one. I couldn't bring myself to replace working parts!

I do like the more solid feel of the earlier years (more sound deadening), but the pillar mounted seatbelts and electric HICAS are nice.

The "Electro Defog" on my side mirror is nostalgic... :)

If your turbos are shot, you may have a hard time getting $7.5k for it.

You have posted this a few times, being uncertain if this is the Z for you. Talk it out...If you aren't satisfied with your current Z for reasons X, can those reasons be mitigated, or is the answer to get a different Z?
